Back from Miami...

Oh...how i loved our trip to Miami. We(my son and I) traveled (I love plane rides too) to see my sister and her sweet family. My mom and dad also went. Was such a fun family trip. We missed the new babies birth by a couple days but that's ok. He is just precious and was welcomed by his big sister. Oh..so so so cute! Can't wait to visit them again...

My son Matthew...He loves Miami too! We had so much fun. Matthew gave jet skiing a shot- had lots of fun. He especially enjoying the beaches and enjoying Lincoln Road and all it has to offer. Man- my son can shop!!
I was very camera happy and got shots of so many wonderful items, people- you name it. I could help but take a shot of these lovely little flowers and the awesome lizards....the little things....i LOVE em!

Spread for Ness's baby shower

Yummy frosting.....Yummy cupcakes in the making. Thank you my little sweet niece Faith!! Such a wonderful helper!!
Check these out....yummy cupcakes. Some had sugar, some had coconut (you are such a wonderful baker mom!)
And let's not forget the yummy chocolate covered strawberries- goodness...what a lovely spread we had. Mom also made homemade chicken bow tie soup. It was so good- it was a cool day and with the fire burning slowly- it totally hit the spot. Oh...mom also made "hot" fresh from the oven wheat rolls topped with butter.

I loved this get together! We all came together for my sis's baby shower. Although she was not present (she lives in Miami with her wonderful husband and sweet baby girl) at her shower (in Colorado), we did call her and she thanked everyone and spoke with all of us via speaker phone. She teared up on us...she is such a gentle soul. We will travel to be with her very soon....can't wait to help welcome out newest member to our family. Thank you all for coming and making it such a special treat!

These are made by Rosalyn (Rare Raggz). Fabric

and then are top-stitched with colorful threads.
Embellishments may include: glass beads, clay tiles,
3-D flowers, charms and or trinkets.

This bowl is $8.00 and roughly measures
2 1/2"- 3" deep and 4-41/2" in diameter.
This would be perfect to hold yummy
jelly beans!!! :) Please e-mail me at jlsparklz@comcast.net if interested. Thank you!

It's painted on canvas ready to hang on the wall. I used acrylic paint, marker and paper for the skirts. I will pour beez wax on the dresses- hope she likes it!

Hello to Everyone!

Welcome to our"spot". Jodi and I have had a passion for creating for sometime. There is something about taking a piece of fabric and cutting it up and then sewing it back together that satisfies the heart.

I enjoy all mixed media. My mother, Bea is a professional quilter/artist and my father, Camilo is a professional artist and silversmith, so it is no wonder that I am so amazed and so curious about all media. Because of this I can't decide on which media to create in....so when in doubt, try it all!!!

Thank you Jodi (my partner and daughter) and Matt (my grandson) for starting this new journey for us. Without Matt the technology piece would not be happening. Without Jodi this whole idea would not have materialized. Without the support of my husband, Joseph and our other children, Joel, Vanessa and Amanda, there would be no reason to create; they are infact my greatest creations!

I hope you enjoy your journey with us. Our creations come from the heart; a piece at a time...Beauty from the inside out!

Sweet dreams to all... (even though no one knows we exist right now...that's ok)

It's a new day...

I am stepping out of my comfort zone...it's a new day. I have finally, after wanting, wishing and longing....started a blog. My mother and I, Rosalyn (Rare Raggz) have created for years and we would just love to share our creations and love for humanity. I can't wait to start this process...i will soon be adding- first off- a photo of my lovely mother and then will begin adding photos of our life and craft creations. My mother quilts, paints, sews, beads and everything in between. She is working on fabulous bags for all occasions! You will love them.

Thanks to my grandpa Camillo, I have learned to paint (he was the first one to place a paint brush in my hand). I have also taken an on-line class from Suzi Blu and she has given me so much strength (she doesn't even know me or know how powerful she has been in my life). I have a love for all work that is out there and i would love to share mine too.

Peace to all-
~jodi
